In and Beyond the Art
The enduring Hindu-Bali cultural tradition holds endless mysteries. One of these is taksu, the divine spirit or energy essential to all aspect of the socio-cultural life or the Balinese. I have been interested in exploring the existence of taksu ini Balinese tradition since nearly fifteen years ago. The impetus for this book was a small papar I wore in 1996 for The Asian Composer League in Yogyakarta.
